The Temple Grove Schools Trust
About Us
Temple Grove Schools Trust was established in 1956, initially to manage one of the country’s oldest prep schools, Temple Grove school, founded in 1810.
Today, we are actively involved in primary education and seek to influence the development of primary education by initiating research projects and by sharing resources, experience and vision.
Our activities continue to evolve and we continue to seek new initiatives with partners who share our aspiration to raise standards and understanding in primary education.

The Trust invests in primary education and works alongside educational partners including the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South, the Skinners’ Academies and the Farmington Institute.
Investments in Education
2
We champion improvements in pedagogy by sponsoring the Temple Grove Farmington Teacher Scholarships for primary teachers. Through this Teacher Scholarship programme, primary teachers are given educational support, often from university lecturers, and financial support to research an idea for raising standards while still teaching at their school.

In collaboration with the Farmington Institute, we organise the Temple Grove Farmington Headteacher Forums for primary heads. These Headteacher Forums were established in response to a request from headteachers to meet with other heads to discuss issues of common concern.

We partner with the Haberdashers' Academies Trust South (HATS) in south-east London and with the Skinners' Academies Trust in Kent. We nominate trustees to the HATS Trust Board and provide funding for after-school enrichment provision to both Trusts.
