Simon is a former pupil of Temple Grove school and has been a Temple Grove trustee since 2006. Simon is Chief Executive of C. Brewer & Sons, the UK’s leading decorators’ merchant.

Kathie was Chair of Temple Grove Academy Trust, which managed Temple Grove Academy until August 2024, as well as a trustee of Temple Grove Schools Trust. Kathie is a former banker with HSBC & Merrill Lynch and is currently a Chair and director of various privately owned companies.

Alex is a former trustee of Temple Grove Academy Trust, recently becoming a trustee of Temple Grove Schools Trust.
Alex has worked in primary education all his life. He was Chief Executive Officer at The Good Shepherd Trust, a multi-academy trust of 24 schools. Prior to this, he was a head teacher, a national leader of education (NLE) and the CEO of a trust of six schools.

Nicola has a keen interest in primary education. She was a trustee of Temple Grove Academy Trust for 10 years before becoming a trustee of Temple Grove Schools Trust, and was previously Chair of Governors of a primary school in Kent for 7 years.

Meet the Trustees
Simon has been a Trustee since 2018 and Chair since 2025. He is the nominated trustee on the Trust Board of Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South and was formerly Chair of one of the schools. He has been a Chair and CEO of wealth and asset management companies and chaired Envision, a charity empowering young people from less advantaged backgrounds.
Simon Lough
Nigel chaired the Trust from 2010 to 2025 and led its development. He is a former pupil of Temple Grove school and was the first Chair of the academy trust that sponsored Temple Grove Academy in 2013. He is Chairman and principal shareholder of Constantine Group, an investment company focussed on the energy and logistics sectors.

Ed is the Managing Director of Keystone Tutors, one of the UK’s leading private tuition agencies. Ed has been a secondary school teacher and an education academic. He believes strongly in a research-based approach to drive up standards in education and is a pioneer in broadcasting improvements in pedagogy to a wider audience.
